Marijuana and money seized on a property in North Battleford

A search warrant done on a residence in North Battleford leaves two people with charges.

On March 9, the “F” Division Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant on a property on the 1400 block and 106 street in North Battleford, where they found an amount of what is believed to be marijuana, an undisclosed amount of money and drug equipment.

All the items were seized by the police and charges were laid to 19-year old Brandon Babchuk and 26-year old Kerry Thomas, both from North Battleford. Charges include, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marijuana, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime and Breach of Undertaking.

Both people will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Friday for the second time.
