Blackfalds RCMP Look For Missing Woman – UPDATED

Blackfalds RCMP has issued an Alberta-wide search for a missing woman. 68-year-old Roze Burk has was last seen at a grocery store in Red Deer on the evening of Thursday, March 12th. Burk is caucasian, 5′ 6″ tall, 119 lbs, with blue eyes and white hair. She was last seen wearing jeans, a pink shirt, a grey jacket, and glasses. She is believed to be driving a Grey 2008 Ford Escape, and may be travelling with a white dog. If you have any information, contact Blackfalds RCMP at (403) 885-3300.

UPDATE: Rose Burke has been found dead by the RCMP. On Friday, March 27th, Evansburg RCMP Air Services were working on a separate project when they found Burke’s car in a rural area 35 km south of Evansburg. The RCMP theorize that Burke’s car became stuck, and she left the car to seek help. The area has been described as remote and not frequented by travellers. Burke’s dog has been found in the car, and reunited with her family.
