Man arrested with large amount of cocaine

Lloydminster RCMP have arrested a man for drug possession.

On Tuesday, the RCMP’s General Investigation Section were investigating a man believed to be involved in the drug trade. They approached man near Range Road 24 and Township Road 512. The man tried to flee by driving through a field. The vehicle became stuck in the mud, and the man was arrested.

The police found half a pound of cocaine in his vehicle, with a street value of approximately $19,000. 40-year-old Jonathon Gold faces charges of Flight from a Peace Officer, Resisting a Peace Officer, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime under $5,000.
