Lloydminster Bobcats make another splash in off-season

The Lloydminster Bobcats have signed defenceman Mason Waite.

The club announced the signing on Friday, there second roster move in the last week. Bobcats Head Coach and General Manager Travis Clayton says Waite is going to provide strong depth for the Cats blue-line and help solidify the clubs expectations for a strong defensive core.

Waite spent the last two seasons with the Midget ‘AAA’ Winnipeg Wild with 10 goals and 41 assists in the regular season last year. He also served as the teams captain as they reached the playoffs to win Manitoba Midget ‘AAA’ Hockey League.

Waite also played a few games with the Neepawa Natives of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, bringing some Junior A experience with him. He says he is looking forward to playing with the Bobcats and working with the coaching staff to produce results for the upcoming season.
