Water and sewer construction to begin on 46 Street

Water and sewer construction will begin along 46 Street on Tuesday.

The work being done is part of the city’s water and sewer replacement program that will be happening in two phases. Phase one will be between 50 Avenue and 51 Avenue and phase two will take place between 51 Avenue and 52 Avenue.

In the first phase of construction, City Hall, the Lloydminster Public School Divison and the RCMP building will be accessible through 44 Street. The back alley north of 46 Street will be converted to two-way traffic so residents can access the Civic Plaza, Leckie Property and residential properties.

Phase two will start on August 20, where the Legacy Centre, the Community Services Building and RCMP will have access through the Community Services Building parking lot. Meanwhile, the Central Plaza will be available from the back alley.

Detour markers will be in place for people to follow.
