“The nice thing about Lloyd minor ball in comparison to maybe some other sports, it’s all local kids so everybody knows somebody who knows somebody. As long as they know they’re playing and it’s nice out lots of people come out to the ballpark and watch.”

Walker says even though the season is short, Canadian baseball is an awesome environment for the kids.

” I think its important to them because of the team atmosphere. Baseballs a short season its a very enjoyable season in Canada because you’re always outside and you always have a very good mood around the ball park.”

The Mosquito AA’s will not only host but will also compete for a championship this weekend. Walker adds that no matter what they place, they will feel a sense of accomplishment.
