Highway 4 traffic being detoured after dead body found

Traffic is being rerouted while Battlefords RCMP investigate a dead body found in the middle of Highway 4.

On Wednesday morning, the body was called in by a motorist travelling on the highway approximately 1 km south of Battleford. The RCMP are currently on scene conducting an investigation. During the investigation traffic heading north and south on Highway 4 is being detoured.

The detours are expected to be in place for the next several hours and drivers are being asked to avoid the area if possible. Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact Battlefords RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
