UPDATED: RCMP look to arrest 24 year-old involved in shooting

UPDATE: Battleford RCMP has arrested Jonathan Swiftwolfe near a home on the Mosquito First Nation. He will appear in court on Friday, September 7th at the North Battleford Provincial Court. 

RCMP say the incident took place on Moosomin First Nation, not Saulteaux First Nation.

Battlefords RCMP is searching for 24-year-old Jonathan Swiftwolfe after a man was found shot at a Saulteaux First Nation residence.

RCMP have received a warrant for Swiftwolfe after finding a 24-year-old man shot in the leg. The victim was found by police on September 1 at 11:30 am and was brought to Battlefords Union Hospital. The victim has been transferred to Saskatoon and is currently in stable condition.

Swiftwolfe has yet to be arrested by police and is seen as a risk to the public. The male is facing many gun charges and was last seen driving an older, dark coloured Dodge Ram. Swiftwolfe is 5’10” , 181 pounds and has a tattoo on the right side of his neck.

RCMP is asking people to not approach the man if seen. If his whereabouts is known contact 911 immediately.
