North Battleford residents can breathe a sigh of relief after a scary encounter. The RMCP are reporting that they received several callsĀ of a black bear in the area of St. Laurent Drive on Tuesday, June 17th at 6am. The animal was found taking shelter in a tree along Territorial Drive East, andĀ was successfully tranquilized with the help of Conservation officers.Ā Police sayĀ theĀ bear has been removed from the city, andĀ appeared to be unharmed and in good health.
