Black Bear Found In North Battleford

North Battleford residents can breathe a sigh of relief after a scary encounter. The RMCP are reporting that they received several calls of a black bear in the area of St. Laurent Drive on Tuesday, June 17th at 6am. The animal was found taking shelter in a tree along Territorial Drive East, and was successfully tranquilized with the help of Conservation officers. Police say the bear has been removed from the city, and appeared to be unharmed and in good health.
