Wainwright woman wanted for outstanding warrants

UPDATE: Viking RCMP has arrested 52-year-old Sharon Briand. She was released to attend Vegreville Provincial Court on October 15, 2018.

Police are looking for a Wainwright woman who is wanted for outstanding warrants related to multiple breaks and enters.

In August and September, Viking RCMP says they have been investigating numerous commercial and residential break and enters in the Viking and Bruce areas. As a result, police have arrested and charged a 20-year-old from Viking.

On September 12, police searched a home in Viking where they recovered various stolen items, as well as small amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana. RCMP issued warrants on the same day for two suspects.

A 48-year-old man from Viking was arrested and charged. Police are still looking for 52-year-old Sharon Briand woman suspect who is facing three counts of break and enter and one count of failing to comply with a probation order under the Criminal Code.

Anyone with information on Briand’s whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
