A man is in custody after breaking into a home in Lloydminster. On Sunday morning, police responded to a break-in at a residence on the 2200 block of 49th Avenue, while the home-owners were sleeping. Officers set up a perimeter, and tracked the man over several fences in multiple backyards until he was located by police dogs near 17th Street and 47 A Avenue. The man struggled, but was eventually apprehended and taken to hospital for minor injuries. 19-year-old Aaron Kahnapace from the Thunderchild First Nation was charged with Break and Enter, Mischief, Resist Arrest, and two counts of Fail to Comply with Conditions. He also had other outstanding warrants from Lloydminster.
