Saskatchewan Hospital receives more than a “smile” from local Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons has donated $50,000 towards Saskatchewan Hospital’s New Beginnings Campaign for medical equipment and furniture.

Saskatchewan Health Authority announced the donation in a news release Friday saying it comes from Tim Horton’s local Smile Cookie Campaign. The donation represents money collected from the campaign over the past two years. Also, part of the donation will be funded from three Tim Hortons locations in the Battlefords over the next three years through smile cookies.

The new hospital will be naming one of their patient courtyards in honour of Tim Horton’s donation.

The New Beginnings Campaign has received many donations over the past couple weeks. SHA announced Guys Furniture had donated $5,000 and Bee-j’s Office Plus donated $10,000.  The SHA says the campaign is $190,000 away from reaching their $8 million goal.
