Bobcats prepping for teddy toss

The Lloydminster Bobcats have a special weekend planned. This Saturday it will host its annual teddy bear toss.

Bring a new stuffed toy to the game and when the Bobcats score their first goal, throw it on the ice. Flower Affairs will also be on hand Saturday night selling Teddy Bears to those who forgot to bring one. All the bears will then be collected and donated.

That night, the team will also be accepting donations of money, kids winter clothing items like hats and mittens as well as toiletry items. 100 per cent of the money collected will go towards purchasing pre-packaged food bags.

Those bags and all the other items collected that night will then be donated to families in need this holiday season. Donations will continue to be collected at Sunday afternoon’s game as well.
