RCMP announce basketball game against Holy Rosary Raiders

Lloydminster RCMP will face off against the Holy Rosary Raiders in what will be the first annual “Raiders vs. Mounties” charity basketball game.

The game will start at 3:45 p.m. on December 19, at Holy Rosary High School. The event is being organized by LCSD School Resource Officer, who sees it as a way to increase interaction with students beyond himself.

“It’s not about winning or losing, it’s about supporting our community”, says Const. Hagel. “It is a fun way for our local youth to interact with the RCMP of Lloydminster.”

Admission to the game will cost a donation to the Lloydminster Salvation Army food bank, which will be accepted at the door and collected by 2019 RCMP Youth Academy cadets. Residents are encouraged to come and watch the game and cheer for their favourite team.
