Salvation Army raises over $50,000

The 2018 Salvation Army Kettle Campaign raised $57,189.10 in Lloydminster with the help over dedicated volunteers. All proceeds from the initiative will go towards Community and Family Services which includes operational costs for the Food Bank.

The Salvation Army tells MyLloydminsterNow.com that over 400 volunteer hours were put in between 7 stores within the Border City. The donation received is down $1000 from last year, but the campaign almost reached the goal of $60,000.

The organization wants to thank Lloydminster residents putting what they could into the kettles during rough economic times. The Christmas Food Hampers also got a positive outcome, the Salvation Army says around 270 were fed because of the initiative.
