Battlefords RCMP have arrested 3 teens they say are responsible for stealing cars.
Early in the morning of Wednesday, July 29, the Battlefords Detachment were notified by the RCMP in Blaine Lake and Shellbrook that several cars had been stolen, and were believed to be headed to the Battlefords.
Battlefords RCMP found one of the cars westbound on highway 16, as it veered off the road and was abandoned behind the Saskatchewan Hospital. The driver and passengers fled the scene, but the police recovered the vehicle.
Shortly afterward, the police found the three boys they believe are responsible, and arrested them on outstanding warrants for possession of property obtained by crime. The RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
