Tanker rollover deemed non-hazardous

A spill from a tanker truck rollover has been deemed non-hazardous.

On the afternoon of Monday, August 3, an eastbound tanker on highway 303 rolled over, and the tank began leaking. The driver walked away from the crash, and was treated on-scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

The tanker was carrying salt water, and the spill was taken care of by a safety team from Husky Energy.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, but it is believed to be driver error.
