Lloydminster Motor Club to hold charity motor show

The Lloydminster Motor Club is looking to benefit a local family this weekend.

The club is planning a charity motor show Sunday, August 16, at KalTire, in memory of Tanner Graf. Graf passed away Friday, August 7, after getting struck by a semi while changing a stranded motorist’s tire on highway 16.

Club President Randy Marsh says they have a lot of ways they’ll be raising money at the show.

“We’re just starting the planning right now, but we’re going to have some silent auction items, we’re going to have probably some friendly competitions,” Marsh said. “The Loydminster Motor Club, we sell member cards that get you discounts at a bunch of places in town. We’re going to be selling those for $10 for a lifetime membership. Everything we raise is going straight to the fundraiser as well. There’s been a couple of other companies that have been getting in contact with me that are going to be setting up some little vendor booths, and they’re going to be donating to the causes as well. We’re just looking to have a fun-packed day on Sunday.”

Marsh says all proceeds from the show will go to a trust fund for Graf’s four-month-old daughter.

The show will take place  at 10 a.m. To donate, message the Lloydminster Motor Club on Facebook or call Randy Marsh at (639) 840-0562.
