Deadline for Large Item Pickup Pilot Program extended

The City of Lloydminster is giving the public extra time to sign up for the Large Item Pickup Pilot Program.

Residents now have until Friday, August 14, to sign up for the program, an extension of one week on the old deadline.

“To date, the pilot program has garnered a high level of interest from residents,” said Karen Dela Rosa, General Manager of Waste Services. “Recognizing residents may have been out of town, we have opted to extend the deadline, providing the community with additional time to register for the program.”

The program will dispose of items too large for regular garbage disposal such appliances, furniture and mattresses by picking it up from your house for a fee of $5. Item collection will begin on Monday, August 17.

To sign up, go to lloydminster.ca/LIPS, or call (780) 874-3700.
