Lloydminster RCMP arrest seven in drug investigation

The Lloydminster RCMP has arrested seven individuals after three months of drug investigations. Lloydminster RCMP General Investigative Section (GIS) conducted multiple investigations from December 2018 to February 2019. They’ve resulted in seven arrests and 46 charges in relation to drug trafficking in Lloydminster.

Over the three-month period, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, ammunition and money were seized from several arrests and a search warrant that was executed at a home in Lloydminster. Corey Morris, Bill Dunham, Brett Schneider, Aimie Gingell, Alyssa Britton, Ryan Rautianien and Nicole Hitchin have been arrested in relation to the investigation.

All have been charged with possession of the proceeds of a crime and various drug trafficking offences. Rautianien has also been charged with assaulting a police officer with a weapon, possession of a weapon while prohibited and flight from police. In a statement, commander of the Lloydminster Detachment, Inspector Lee Brachmann, says the Lloydminster RCMP are taking steps to reduce drug crime.

Crime reduction initiatives are being undertaken, targeting drug offenders in our community. Over a three-month period we were able to remove dangerous drugs from our community while disrupting criminal activity,” says Brachmann.
