RCMP still seeking man with ties to North Battleford

Police are still seeking help locating 35-year-old Christian Nyabirungu who is wanted for first-degree murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.

Nyabirungu has ties to Edmonton, North Battleford, and has family in Montréal. He’s described as black, 6’2″ tall, 240 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. The RCMP advise everyone to not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Strathcona RCMP have charged two additional men with first-degree murder related to the September 13, 2018 murder of Aldane Mesquita. This brings the total number of people charged in this murder to seven.

Tyson Richard Clark, 30, is currently in the Drumheller Institution and is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. Jean Leon Musoni, 30, from Edmonton, is also charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
