Saskatchewan is looking for input on the future of education. The province has launched an online survey for students and non-students alike to help them set a course for education.
The Ministry of Education is leading the co-construction of a framework that will form the basis for a provincial education plan and set a course for education beyond 2020. This is through an engagement process that began in October 2018. Deputy Premier and Education Minister Gordon Wyant believes the engagement will help keep the province in line with what people want from the education system.
“We want to hear from students, parents, educators, and school staff to better understand what they want for the future of education. The new provincial education plan will ensure that our schools are on the right path to meet the needs of students as we look toward the next decade,” says Wyant.
The survey can be found on the Saskatchewan government’s website and is open until May 10. Engagement sessions with education partners will also occur for parents and students to participate in-person.
