Vermilion RCMP investigate shooting incident

The Vermilion RCMP is investigating a shooting incident from Saturday, April 27. Around 1:10 a.m., Mounties responded to a report of a man being shot in the leg at a rural residence east of Vermilion. The 27-year-old man was found with a serious but not life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was taken by ambulance and then transferred to Edmonton via STARS.

No suspects were located and the RCMP does not believe this was a random act. The Vermilion RCMP detachment, with the help of the Edmonton General Investigations Section and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate. No further details are available at this time.
