Murder charges laid in connection to suspicious death

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit have laid charges in connection with a suspicious death near Rendell Park School. With the help of Calgary Police Services, 28-year-old Christopher Andrew Hermkens was arrested in Calgary on Monday, May 6.

Hermkens is charged with the first degree murder of 32-year-old Raymond Dumont on April 27. He’s been remanded into custody and appears in court today at 10 a.m. via CCTV. As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be released.
