Prince Albert RCMP look for attempted kidnappers

Prince Albert RCMP are looking for the men involved in an attempted abduction.

In the late evening of Saturday, September 5, two 12-year-old girls were approached by two men in a truck on Little Red First Nation. The men tried to lure the girls into the truck by offering them candy and pop, and even tried to grab one of the girls, but they both escaped after a brief struggle, and were physically unharmed.

The truck has been described as a light coloured, with an extended cab and an air compressor in the back. The police were unable to obtain a make, model or year.

The driver is described as First Nations, in his 30s, tall heavy-set, and appeared to be intoxicated. He was wearing red pants with white leather stripes on the side, and a heavy black sweater. The passenger remained in the truck, and no description was available.

Anyone with information is asked to call Prince Albert RCMP at (306) 765-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
