City resolves phone line tech issues, Virtual City Hall still down

The city says that technical issues involving city facility phone lines have been resolved. On Sunday evening, the city noticed a technical error cutting off phone lines at facilities such as the operations centre, Servus Sports Centre, Cultural and Science Centre and public safety department, and restricting phone lines for the Bioclean Aquatic Centre and Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre’s Pro Shop.

In a statement, the city says residents are encouraged to resume contacting City of Lloydminster facilities by phone, social media, email, or by visiting the facility. The online portal for electronic billing and digital utility payments, Virtual City Hall, remains unavailable for residents until further notice. Cashiers at City Hall and the Operations Centre can process payments by credit card over the phone or in-person by cash, cheque, debit or credit.

The city says that staff members continue to work on resolving the issues affecting Virtual City Hall, and further updates will be provided when available.
