A Wainwright man is facing trafficking charges after Viking RCMP allegedly found drugs inside a vehicle during a traffic stop. On Wednesday, Viking RCMP stopped a truck on Highway 14 near Kinsella for expired registration.
During the stop, Police say they determined the truck had been stolen from Edmonton, and the driver was using an alternative plate. While searching the vehicle, RCMP says a rifle was found along with approximately $10,000 worth of drugs.
28-year-old Tyler Dorland is facing eight charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and careless use of a firearm. Dorland is currently in custody and will appear in a  Vegreville Provincial Court on June 17.
