Third person charged in death of Edmonton woman

A third person has been arrested and charged in relation to the homicide investigation of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere. The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit North have arrested and charged 18-year-old Brent Checkosis of North Battleford with accessory after the fact to murder, improperly tampering with a human body and theft of a motor vehicle.

Checkosis is scheduled to make his first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Friday, July 26, at 9:30 a.m. The homicide investigation remains ongoing; no further details are available. The RCMP says officers expect to make additional arrests in the upcoming weeks.
