Fire in Heritage Estates deemed not suspicious in nature

The Lloydminster RCMP and Lloydminster Fire Services have deemed a structure fire on the north side of the city as non-suspicious. Emergency crews received calls of a structure fire around 12:15 p.m. on Monday, August 19. Personnel arrived on-scene to the area of Heritage Estates around 56 street of 53 avenue to find detached garage in a backyard fully engulfed in flames.

Fire crews responded quickly to extinguish the flames. Nobody was displaced or injured by the fire, however, nearby homes were damaged by the flames and the garage is a total loss. An in-depth joint investigation concluded the fire was not suspicious in nature. The fire department responded to the blaze within three minutes.
