Two arrested after RCMP seize firearms, drugs near Maidstone

Two Edmonton men are facing drug and weapons charges after Saskatchewan RCMP stopped their vehicle outside of Maidstone.

The RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit stopped the vehicle for improper mud flaps. Mounties then searched the vehicle and found two types of drugs and three handguns.

Devin Marshall Cunningham and Andrew David Paddley face nine charges each including:

  • Possession with the purpose of trafficking
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm

Paddley faces an extra charge for failing to comply with a recognizance.

Both men made their first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Aug. 30.
