63 Street road closure begins Wednesday

The city is notifying residents of new pedestrian and roadway improvements set to begin in September.

The roadway near 63 Street is being resurfaced from September 4 to September 13. Construction crews are paving 63 Street from 53 Avenue to 51 Avenue, and 51 Avenue from 63 Street to 62 Street.

Crews are installing a sidewalk on 54 Avenue from 51 Street to 48 Street. Work is scheduled to start on September 7 and is expected to finish on September 12.

Drivers and pedestrians are advised to follow construction signage and drive courteously when passing construction crews. Timelines for the projects are weather permitting.
