Battleford begins new winter garbage pickup schedule

Battleford residents will see a change in garbage pickup starting at the beginning of March.

In a release earlier this month, the Town says bi-weekly pickup will begin for the winter months with weekly garbage pickup continuing through the summer.

Battleford is looking to ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ by switching to a bi-weekly schedule. The winter bi-weekly pickup will go until April 30th and from November 9th to April 30th in 2021. The new schedule will not interfere with the weekly Monday compost pickup.

Any residents wanting to know the collection days can go to the Town of Battleford’s website or head to Town Hall for a revised copy of the schedule.
