Man dead after downtown shooting in Lloydminster

One man is dead after a shooting at a bar in downtown Lloydminster.

At about 7 p.m. on February 21, Lloydminster RCMP responded to a shooting call at a bar on 50 Avenue and 49 Street.

An adult man was taken to hospital where he died. An autopsy is scheduled at the Office of the Chief Coroner in Saskatoon on February 24.

Lloydminster RCMP and the RCMP Major Crimes Unit do not believe it was a random incident and continue to investigate the shooting.

They are asking for anyone with information about the incident to call Lloydminster RCMP at 780-874-5001 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 for those who wish to stay anonymous.
