Saskatchewan records third COVID-19 fatality

Saskatchewan is now at 193 COVID-19 cases, with one more fatality.

A resident of the province between age 80 and 89 passed away from COVID-19 complications. This now brings the total to three. In total, nine new cases have been confirmed.

Within the North Zone housing Lloydminster and area, the total remains at 37, with 12 people having recovered from the disease.

The Government adds they will working to provide clarity on how cases have been transmitted within the province. Cases will now be categorized by travel, community contact (including household contacts and mass gatherings) and unknown exposures. Also, some cases won’t be categorized until Public Health finishes investigating.

As of Monday, 87 cases are the result of travel, 41 are the result of community contact, eight have no known exposure and another 57 are under investigation.

To date, 10,528 COVID-19 tests have been performed, with 10,009 negative results.
