Kids of Steel Triathlon cancelled

Parents who signed their kids up for 2020’s Lloydminster ATB Financial Kid of Steel Triathlon will now have the option to put their money towards a good cause.

The event, slated for June 19th, has been cancelled. While it won’t go ahead until next year, the Kids of Steel Triathlon Host Organizing Committee  is offering either a refund or to put the registration towards KidSport Lloydminster and The Olive Tree.

The Host Organizing Committee  says that given the uncertainty surrounding finances during the COVID-19 pandemic, they completely understand people choosing the refund.

Anyone wanting the refund is urged to check their email and provide the Kids of Steel Triathlon Host Organizing Committee with their information before April 8th, after which unclaimed funds will be donated.

Anyone needing more information or wanting to make their wishes surrounding the registration fees known are asked to email [email protected].

Correction: this article has been updated to better reflect that the Host Organizing Committee oversees the event and will be providing the refunds. We apologize for the error.
