The Saskatchewan Government says the last 24 hours has seen more recoveries than new cases of COVID-19.
Twelve people have recovered, while six new cases have been confirmed. One of the cases is still presumptive because their test came back inconclusive. The samples are being sent to the National Microbiology Laboratory for further testing.
Currently across the province, 285 cases have been reported, with 146 considered “active.” The recovery total is at 136. In the North Zone, which houses Lloydminster and area, 20 cases are active and 31 people have recovered.
In total, 123 cases of reported cases are travel-related, 103 are contacts or linked to mass gatherings, 22 have no known exposures and 36 are under investigation by local public health. 30 of these cases have been recorded in health care workers, however, the government believes that not all of these cases are medical work-related.
Across Saskatchewan, 17,634 COVID-19 tests have been performed, with 16,672 negative results.
