The Saskatchewan Government is confirming five new COVID-19 cases across the Province.
This puts the number of active cases at 57 of 331 reported. Nine new recoveries puts the total cross-province at 270. In the North Zone, housing the Lloydminster area, cases are at five confirmed, 56 recoveries and one person receiving hospital inpatient care.
As a result of declining numbers, the province has begun tentative steps to re-open the provincial economy.
The first of five phases will see medical facilities being re-opened to the public under physical distancing guidelines by May 4th. There will also be the resuming of low-risk outdoor recreational activities on May 15th.
Lloydminster says the will be looking to both Saskatchewan and Alberta before beginning their own re-opening process.
Across Saskatchewan, 25,872 COVID-19 tests have been performed, with 24,177 confirmed negatives.
