Three new COVID-19 cases in Lloydminster, 26 across Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan has confirmed three new COVID-19 diagnoses in Lloydminster.

In their May 1st update, the Province has confirmed 26 new COVID-19 cases across the province. 19 are in the Far North, four total in the North Zone and three in Saskatoon. This brings active cases in the north zone to 23, with 57 recoveries.

The number of people in hospital remains unchanged at ten total, four of which are the North Zone. Three are in intensive care in Saskatoon. Of 415 reported cases, 115 are considered active. Recoveries sit at 297, with two new recoveries today.

While there is only one COVID-19 positive case involving a patient at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, an outbreak has been declared at the hospital. Contact tracing and investigation is underway to ensure all contacts are identified and testing has been completed on all known contacts.

COVID-19 testing is at 30,357 performed in Saskatchewan, with 28,006 negative returns.
