One new COVID-19 case reported in the County of Vermilion River

One of the two new active case of COVID-19 reported in the AHS Central zone is in the County of Vermilion River.

There are now two active cases and two recoveries in the county and one recovery in the MD of Wainwright. There are a total of 91 cases in the Central zone.

Another 70 new cases has been recorded in the province raising the total number of cases to 5,963. Of that total, 2,299 are active and 3,552 are listed as recovered.

Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced six more people have died in relation to COVID-19. All six were reported in the Calgary zone. There has been 112 deaths province-wide.

To date, over 170,000 tests have been completed in Alberta.
