One man arrested after fatal hit-and-run on Sweetgrass First Nation

One man has been left dead and another faces charges after a hit-and-run on Sweetgrass First Nation.

Battleford RCMP were called to the scene of an accident in the evening of Wednesday, November 25, where they found a man lying near a grid road suffering from serious injuries. The police believed he was walking on the road when he was hit by a car. The man was airlifted to Saskatoon, but died in the hospital from his injurieson Thursday, November 26.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the accident, and the vehicle he is believed to have driven has been seized. He will make his first appearance in court on Monday, December 21.
