LCHS students hold fundraiser for Interval Home

The Lloydminster Comprehensive High School has announced their annual Rudolph’s Roundup.

The yearly fundraiser encourages students to bring items to school to help families in the Interval Home with items they might need, such as toiletries, towels, and baby products.

Ayla Chipman, in grade 12 at the Comp, is one of the organizers. She says the charity is important to her.

“It’s something that hits close to home,” Chipman said. “I really enjoy supporting the Lloydminster Interval Home, and they do a lot of good for the community, so I thought it was time to give back.”

Brianna Roberts, also in grade 12, is the other organizer. She says the gifts have an impact on people at the home.

“The Interval Home is for battered and abused families,” Roberts said. “When they receive gifts from others, they know that it’s out of selflessness, and it feels really good for them.”

Those who wish to donate to the fundraiser can drop donations off at the school, or in bins at HomeSense, Winners, and Home Hardware.

The deadline is December 11th, but the school says they will continue to accept donations afterward.
