85 per cent of COVID-19 cases in Alberta have recovered

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Alberta continues to drop.

There is currently 865 active cases in the province with a majority of them in the Calgary zone. Of the active cases, 54 are currently in hospital and six of those are in intensive care.

The province is reporting 32 new cases with no new cases in the AHS Central zone and only four active cases listed in the zone. All cases near the Lloydminster area have recovered.

About 85 per cent of total cases have recovered with 93 more recoveries noted in the past 24-hours.

Two more deaths were recorded bringing the provincial total to 134.  One fatality was in Calgary and the other in Edmonton.

Over 228,000 tests have been completed since the onset of the pandemic.
