A Lloydminster man is facing several charges after an allegedly stolen semi-truck was crashed into a home.
Police received over a dozen calls about a semi speeding and erratically driving through several neighbourhoods within the city Saturday night. They later found the truck after it had been crashed into a home on 23 Street and 46 Avenue. The driver fled on foot and was tracked to a nearby apartment by several RCMP detachments and police dogs.
37-year-old Ashley Cadrain is facing a total of twenty charges, in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. These include alleged assault on a peace officer with a weapon, failing to remain at the scene, dangerous driving, theft and mischief over $5000, flight from police and twelve counts of breach of release orders, among others.
Cadrain is in custody and will appear in Alberta Provincial Court on June 16th. He will also appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court June 22nd.
