Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Lloydminster and area.
They say current conditions could be favourable for severe thunderstorms that could produce strong winds, heavy rain or large hail. Thunderstorms will develop through central Alberta this evening and will move eastward.
Weather officials are telling people to be cautious of extreme weather, and to take shelter. if threatening weather approaches.
