Cold Lake RCMP investigates suspicious death, looking for connected vehicle

Cold Lake RCMP is looking for a vehicle that is believed to be connected to a suspicious death in the area.

Around 1 AM on August 9th, police were called to a Petro-Canada station on Highway 28, about reports a man had been shot in the parking lot. RCMP arrived, finding the man had died on scene.

Four suspects were witnessed leaving the area in an allegedly stolen vehicle. Officers are looking for a  2018 black Nissan Murano with the Alberta licence plate BRW 5433. The SUV was last seen on the Cold Lake First Nations that morning.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing, with an autopsy scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020 at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.
