Lloydminster raises $16K for Tim Hortons Camp Day

Lloydminster residents continued to show their support for disadvantaged youth with Tim Hortons restaurants across the city raising a total of $16,504 during their annual Camp Day fundraiser.

Camp Day was held on August 12th with all proceeds from hot or iced coffees going towards the Tim Horton’s summer camp program. The restaurant chain runs seven camps across North America which provide youth ages 12 to 16 from low income homes an opportunity to attend camp during the summer.

Nearly $11 million was raised in one day across Canada and the United States. This year, the organization went with an eight-week digital camp experience, due to the pandemic.
