Alberta Health reports one new COVID-19 case in Lloydminster, M.D. of Wainwright

Alberta Health is reporting one active COVID-19 case in the City of Lloydminster.

While the Saskatchewan Health Authority is responsible for collecting and reporting cases in Lloydminster, if a case is tested in an Alberta lab or ordered by a Medical Officer of Health in Alberta then it will be included in Alberta’s data.

An additional active case has been recorded in the M.D. of Wainwright, bringing the total number of active cases up to two. The County of Vermilion River remains at one active case, as of August 26th.

The AHS Central zone has 25 active cases with one person being treated in hospital. There have 542 recoveries and seven deaths in the zone.

Provincially, 108 new cases were found out of 10,089 tests completed on August 26th. There are currently 1,158 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta. AHS reports 49 people are in hospital and seven of those are in intensive care.
