Active COVID-19 cases drop to five in North-West Zone

The number of active, confirmed COVID-19 cases has dropped to five in the area containing Lloydminster, the Battlefords and other surrounding towns.

There are three more recoveries showing in the last day in this zone. Breaking it down further into the four subregions, the Battlefords area has the highest confirmed number at three. The Lloydminster area and Cut Knife/Wilkie region sit at one apiece, with the Turtleford/St Walburg area now at zero active or confirmed cases.

Across Saskatchewan, there were three new cases and six recoveries in the last day, making an active total case number of 34. Three people remain in hospital, all in Saskatoon. Two of these people are in intensive care.

Since the pandemic began, 1,567 people have recovered out of 1,622 reported cases.
