No active COVID-19 cases in the M.D. of Wainwright

The M.D. of Wainwright has no more active COVID-19 cases as the remaining active case has recovered, according to Alberta Health.

The M.D. has a total of 59 recoveries and two fatalities as of September 8th. The County of Vermilion River has one active case and 13 recoveries.

Four cases in the AHS Central zone have recovered and the total number of active cases now sits at 48. There have been 573 recoveries and seven deaths in the zone.

There were 98 new cases recorded in the province out of 10,500 tests completed. In Alberta, 1,585 cases remain active with 45 people in hospital and seven in intensive care. Alberta Health has confirmed one more death, a woman in her 70s in the Edmonton zone. It is the 248th death in the province.
