Lloydminster RCMP and the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit took part in a four-day initiative to target offenders as part of their crime reduction strategy.
From October 6th to the 9th, RCMP arrested 32 people and executed 57 outstanding warrants during the planned initiative. Mounties also recovered several stolen vehicles and laid charges for offences in connection to the seizures.
“The Lloydminster and EAD Crime Reduction Units will continue to target and identify offenders within our community as part of our ongoing crime reduction strategy within the City of Lloydminster,” Inspector Lee Brachmann says.
Mounties also charged several individual for new charges as a result of the arrests. Forty-two year-old Shane Donnelly was charged with resisting arrest, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, trafficking property obtained by crime under $5,000, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and four counts of failing to comply with release orders.
Thirty-eight year-old Ashley Cadrain was charged with resisting arrest and two counts of failing to comply with release orders. Nineteen-year-old Shania Heathen was charged with obstructing a peace officer, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and two counts of failing to comply with probation orders.
